Silver Pathways Consulting Hosts 3-Part Speaker Series

In an effort to empower seniors, and their families, with the knowledge and resources necessary to make informed decisions about their future, Jill Hart, Owner of Silver Pathways Consulting is hosting a free three-part speaker series titled "Navigating Financial, Legal and Care Support Decision Making.”

This unique series, moderated by Hart, will feature speakers who are experts in the fields of insurance, legal services, and elder care support. Each session is designed to provide invaluable insights and guidance tailored to the specific needs and concerns of seniors and their families.

The topics covered in the series will include:

1. Paying For Future Living Expenses Through Financial Planning Options     
Date: September 17, 2024
Speakers:  Leslie Apple, Edward Jones Financial Advisor; Paul Donohue, Mutual of Omaha Retirement Mortgage Specialist and John Linkous, Northwestern Mutual Insurance Specialist
This session will help you understand the financial, reverse mortgage and insurance options available to you when planning to pay future living expenses whether you choose to remain in your home or relocate.

2. Protecting Your Interests Through Essential Legal Conversations
Date: October 22, 2024
Speakers:  Kathleen Rodberg and Andrew Atherton, Certified Elder Law Attorneys with McGuire, Wood & Bissette.
This session will focus on the conversations you need to have in order to make sure that your affairs are handled per your direction.

3. Gaining Peace of Mind Through Care Support
Date: November 19, 2024
Speakers:  Paula Kelly, NC Guardian and Care Manager; Lisa Kauffman, Private Geriatric Care Manager and Support Group Leader.
This session will introduce you to the benefits of care management and the various support options that are available in our community.

"Navigating the complex decisions that come with aging can be overwhelming and our goal is to provide clarity and support surrounding those decisions,” said Hart. “At every stage of life there are challenges and as a community I believe it is important for us to support each other by providing insight and answers to questions people have."

All the sessions will be held at the Hendersonville Community Co-op Community Room located at 60 S Charleston Lane, Hendersonville and will start at 1:30pm. Seating will be limited so it is suggested that you RSVP to ensure your seat at each session.
